Bartlett Park District Monitoring COVID-19 (Coronavirus) The Bartlett Park District has been monitoring the Coronavirus health concern. Based on the rapidly evolving situation and acting on Executive Order 2020-10 issued by the Governor of the State of Illinois all Bartlett Park District facilities, playgrounds, and athletic fields are closed and all programs are cancelled through Tuesday, April 7th. Bartlett Park District Preschool is also closed and follows the U-46 calendar.The impact of these closures and cancellations are being discussed and information will be communicated as it becomes available. General Information

Conornavirus update: The Bartlett Nature Center resides in the James “Pate” Philip State Park.  The state has closed all state parks at this time. This means that the trails, land, and visitor center are closed until the state declares them open.

Bartlett Nature Center offers a large variety of programs to explore nature through activities, hands-on projects, and games for: Boy and Girl Scouts, schools grade K-12, home schools, daycare & preschools, public/private functions, birthday parties, youth groups, and the community. A variety of animals consisting mainly of reptiles, amphibians, and insects are available for viewing. Animal bones and pelts are also on display. There are four miles of crushed limestone trails on 501 acres. Hiking, bicycling, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing are permitted on trails. When snow is on the ground snowshoes and cross country skis are available for rent through the Nature Center.

Monday-Friday 9am-4pm & Saturday 9am-1pm (Park & Trails close at dusk)

The Nature Center is closed on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
