Deborah Gayon, Environmental Education Manager
Deborah holds a BS in Zoology and minor in Botany, and a Master’s Certificate in Organizational Leadership and brings more than 30 years of experience in parks, recreation, environmental education, and public service. She joined Bartlett Park District in 2023 as the Environmental Education Manager, where she oversees Bartlett Nature Center operations, educational programs, camps, special events, community partnerships, and staff development. Deborah is passionate about connecting people with nature, developing strong teams, and creating welcoming experiences where people of all ages can learn, explore, and feel a sense of belonging.
Mike Diamond, Assistant Environmental Education Manager
Mike holds a BS in Special Education from Eastern Illinois University and brings a strong background in education, inclusion, and working with children of diverse abilities and learning styles. As Assistant Environmental Education Manager at Bartlett Nature Center, he helps oversee educational programs, camps, special events, rentals, and daily facility operations. Mike is especially passionate about creating safe, welcoming experiences where every child feels supported, included, and encouraged to explore, learn, and enjoy the outdoors.
