General FAQ

Q: What are the height requirements for the BAC attractions?
Body Slides; White is 44 inches and Yellow is 48 inches. Drop Slide is 48 inches. Tube slide is 48 inches. The Zip Line is 50 inches and you must be able to reach the handle firmly. The zip line also has a 300 pound weight limit. All users of these attractions must know how to swim independently. The height requirement for the Spray Playground slides is 36’’.

Q: Are life jackets allowed on attractions?
No, the manufacturer does not recommend the use of life jackets on the slides or Zip Line.

Q: What is the water depth of the various attractions?
Original Pool-0’0’’ up to 5’0’’, Lazy River-3’0’’, Tube Slide Splash Down-3’6’’, Zip Line/Drop Slide Pool-6’6’’ up to 12’3’’, New Body Slide-Uses a run-out, not a pool (no real water depth).

Q: Is there an age restriction on the Lazy River?
No, although we ask that supervision is provided within BAC policies and procedures (under 7, accompanied by a parent or guardian 18 or older; 7 to 9, chaperone 14 or older).

Q: Is there a cost associated with utilizing a Lazy River/Slide tube?
No, however tubes are utilized on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q: Do you have both single and double tubes available?
Yes

Q: Can an adult and child ride on a double tube together?
Yes, however, the adult, in almost all instances, as the heavier person, should be seated in the back of the tube to prevent it from flipping.

Q: Can I bring in my own tube/floatation device?
No recreational floatation devices are permitted. Outside lifejackets must be Coast Guard approved. Complimentary lifejackets are available at the BAC Manager’s Office.

Q: Do you have ADA accessible deck chairs?
Yes, however they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q: Do you allow outside food and drinks?
No, and absolutely no coolers are permitted in the facility. The only outside food/drink permitted is bottled water and baby formula.

Q: My child is too short to go down the slide/zip Line/etc. Can I catch them at the bottom?
No. Insurance company requirements and manufacturer specifications prohibit us from allowing this under any circumstances. Parents are not allowed to assist their children in any part of this activity. Bartlett Park District Staff is solely responsible for admittance to this attraction.
