Bartlett Aquatic Center Partial Opening: Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why is the Bartlett Aquatic Center only partially open?

A. The delay in opening the main pool and white slide results from a backordered custom-made turbine pump that runs the filtration system. Replacing the turbine pump is part of a capital project started last fall, and the pump was ordered months ago by our contractor. Unfortunately, we are facing continued delays from the distributor regarding the pump. As a result, we cannot open the main pool and white slide at this time.

Q. What is currently open?

A. Staff worked diligently to open all other areas of the BAC which can be operated without the turbine pump. These areas include the lazy river, zipline, blue tube slide, yellow body slide, red drop slide, splash pad and sand play area. Guests also have access to Splash Central activity pool and lap pool.

Q. Are there any neighboring outdoor aquatic centers that will honor my Bartlett Aquatic Center Season pass?

A. Carol Stream Park District is honoring Bartlett Aquatic Center passes until our facility becomes fully operational. Coral Cove is located at 849 W. Lies Road. Additional information, including facility hours, can be found here.

Q. I am a pass holder; will I receive a partial refund due to the delayed and partial opening?

A. Once the facility is fully open, we will communicate and provide an appropriate household credit to be issued to Bartlett Aquatic Center season pass holders.

Q. When is the turbine pump expected to be delivered?

A. We currently do not have a confirmed delivery date for the turbine pump. Once we have a confirmed date the pump will be on site, we will be able to provide an anticipated date for the opening of the main pool and white slide.

Q. These options do not work with my schedule, how do I request a full refund?

A. While we are doing our best to provide alternate accommodations, we understand that these options may not work best for you. If you would like to request a full refund of your pass, please complete the cancellation form here.

We appreciate your continued patience and support while we do everything in our power to officially kickoff the 2024 BAC pool season, which the Park District and team members have been greatly looking forward to.
