At the Bartlett Nature Center, we believe that nurturing a love for nature starts with education. Our engaging programs, tailored for children aged 3 to 18, spark curiosity and foster a deep connection to the natural world. Aligned with Next Generation Science Standards, our Preschool through High School offerings encourage students to learn through
hands-on activities and outdoor exploration, all set within the beautiful James “Pate” Philip State Park in Bartlett, Illinois.
Resource Trunks
We partner with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to provide Resource Trunks—educational loan boxes brimming with curriculum materials, guides, activity books, artifacts, and biofacts. These resources are designed to deepen a student’s understanding of the natural sciences and cultural history of DuPage, Kane, and Cook Counties. Each trunk includes lesson plans and activities that align with Next Generation Science Standards, making learning both fun and impactful.
Our Resource Trunks are available to reserve for free, for up to 14 days. You can pick them up Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bartlett Nature Center, located at 2054 W. Stearns Road, Bartlett, IL 60103. For more information, give us a call at 847-608-3120. Join us in inspiring the next generation to explore, appreciate, and protect our natural world!
