Summer Nature Camp 

Registration closes at 6pm Thursday prior to camp.
All nature camps take place at the Bartlett Nature Center, 2054 W. Stearns Road, James “Pate” Philip State Park. Discover a different theme each week specifically geared toward the age group of the camp. See theme descriptions in the program guide or camp flyer for activities.  All campers should wear gym shoes, bring a snack, water bottle, sunscreen (spray on only), bug spray and a backpack. Campers attending an all-day camp should bring a sack lunch. All children must be toilet independent. Once you are registered for camp, download the Emergency Treatment Release which is required to be brought in on the first morning of camp. The use of cell phones will only be allowed before or after camp. Phones should be kept at home or in the camper’s backpack. If there is an emergency, please notify the Nature Center office at 847-608-3120 and the camper will be located. The Bartlett Park District does not assume any responsibility for lost, stolen or broken items. A Day Camp Payment Plan is Available

Late Policy: Parents/guardians will be required to pay a late pick up fee of $5 if they are 1-10 minutes late; after 10 minutes the fee will be $1 per minute until the child is picked up. The late fee is per child. The person picking up the child will be handed a late pick up slip by the child’s instructor. The slip must be signed by the person picking up the child and an invoice will be issued with the fee to be paid. Late fees are the responsibility of the parent/guardian, no matter who picks up the child.

Day Camp

Campers can enjoy camp 2 or 5 days per week. Your child will learn new games, participate in craft projects and meet new friends. On weather appropriate days, this camp will play water games or visit the pool. Camp will participate in Thursday field trips. Camp activities will vary. All campers are swim tested and wrist banded appropriately based on the ability to swim one length of the pool. The buddy system is also used. Campers must pass the swim test to use the zipline and slides. A camp t-shirt is included. Before (7:30-8:30am) and After (3:30-5:30pm) Camp Recreation is available for this camp, advance registration is required. Required Supplies: Campers should wear comfortable play clothes, & gym shoes. Each day please bring a sack lunch, water, sunscreen and bug spray. On water play/pool days, a swimsuit and towel are required.

Sports Camp

This is the perfect camp for the sports enthusiast, and it’s sure to keep your camper active the whole day. Sports Camp emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun through involvement in many activities, including sports instruction, free play, games, and scrimmages in soccer, basketball, football, dodgeball, and more. Participants will be divided into age-specific groups for specific activities throughout the day. Campers will swim daily at Bartlett Aquatic Center (weather pending). Each week this camp will go on a field trip to a water park, bowling alley, roller-skating rink, golf range, laser tag arena, or indoor trampoline park. The fee includes a camp T-shirt to be worn on Field Trip days. All campers complete a swim test and are wrist-banded appropriately (based on the ability to swim one length of the pool). After Camp Recreation (3:30-5:30pm) is available for this program, pre-registration is required.

Tiny Tykes Camp

This camp is designed to introduce young children to the camp experience. Children will play games and participate in craft projects as well as structured playtime both inside and outdoors. This camp does not go swimming, but occasionally visits the Bartlett Aquatic Center Spray Playground and/or plays water activities. Daily activities will vary. Children must be toilet independent. Counselors will request campers bring a swimsuit & towel as needed. Campers should bring a water bottle, snack, spray on sunscreen and bug spray daily. Before Camp Recreation

This option is available to campers registered for Camp Day by Day, Tiny Tykes & Teen Camp. Before Camp Recreation will meet in the BCC Gymnasium for activities and games from 7:30-8:30am. This option is not available for Sports Camp participants.

After Camp Recreation

Campers must be enrolled in either Day Camp or Sports Camp to participate in the extended camp option. Children will enjoy games, activities, board games, and crafts. Please send your camper with a snack and water.

NEW! Kindergarten Adventure Camp

Campers entering Kindergarten in the fall can join us for this summer adventure camp. Campers will participate in arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor play, playground activities and more. Camp may visit the Bartlett Aquatic Center Spray Playground and participate in local field trips during the session. Each Camp session is 2 weeks long. Campers should wear comfortable play clothes and bring a snack, lunch, water bottle and sunscreen daily. Camp is held at the Bartlett Community Center Kid Stop. School Day Off Camps @ Bartlett Community Center 

Enjoy your winter break and spring break with us at the Bartlett Community Center. These camps will involve gym time, board games, card games, arts and crafts, movies, and daily swimming at Splash Central.
