The Wishmas Tree: Giving back to our wildlife
Wishmas Tree Season November 15-January 15
This holiday season help make a difference. Our tree is adorned with tags listing much-needed items that will support the care and well-being of our animals at Bartlett Nature Center. Take a tag, purchase the item, and bring it back to the nature center to donate. Your generosity ensures that our animals have everything they need to thrive and helps us continue offering educational experiences for the community.
Fishing Equipment Rental
The Access to Fishing program, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), makes fishing accessible to everyone by providing FREE fishing poles and tackle for use. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler, you can check out equipment. Learn more about the program here: I Fish Illinois–Tackle Loaner
How It Works: Please call 847-608-3120 in advance and check out equipment at Bartlett Nature Center Front Desk Monday through Friday 9am-3pm or Saturday 9-11am (one pole per person). Check out involves signing in with your name, address, and phone number. Fishing license is required for anyone 16 years or older; available at the I Fish Illinois–Tackle Loaner.
